Privacy Policy
Effective October 16, 2026
Ferris is a neighborhood discovery and connection service operated by IRADA, LLC ("we", "us"). This policy describes how we handle information when you visit our website, contact us, or use Ferris by text.
Information we collect
- Contact and conversation data: your mobile number, messages, timestamps, and delivery information. If you email us, your email and correspondence. If you send supported voice notes, their audio and transcripts may be processed.
- Preferences you choose to share: your first name, neighborhood or campaign code, interests, message frequency, and optional information for introductions or lending. A QR campaign can identify a particular building or neighborhood.
- Consent and service records: your opt-in and opt-out actions, dates, message preferences, requests, suggestions sent, and event-following choices.
- Website and technical data: hosting and messaging providers may process IP addresses, browser information, request logs, and security or delivery diagnostics.
We do not require your phone contacts or precise GPS location. Please do not send financial account details, government IDs, health information, or other sensitive personal information in messages.
How we use information
We use information to answer requests, personalize neighborhood recommendations, deliver the message frequency you choose, send updates you request, arrange optional introductions, provide support, protect the service, and record and honor consent and opt-outs. Authorized Ferris operators may review conversations and draft or send replies.
Mobile information and consent are not for sale
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, or transfer mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data, or consent to third parties, affiliates, or lead generators for their own use. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Limited processing by messaging providers and carriers is necessary to deliver messages, prevent abuse, and honor opt-outs; this does not give them permission to use your information for independent marketing. We do not purchase contact lists or enroll someone because a friend supplied their number.
Service providers and optional introductions
- Providers acting for us: hosting and storage (Vercel), messaging and carriers (including Twilio when connected), and, when enabled, AI processing (Anthropic) and voice transcription (OpenAI). They receive the information needed for their service. Message text may be sent to these providers to interpret requests and prepare responses. Avoid sending information you do not want processed this way.
- Introductions: we share your first name and contact details with another participant only after both of you expressly agree to that specific introduction. This is separate from SMS enrollment and never transfers your SMS consent.
- Legal and safety needs: we may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect people, investigate abuse, or secure the service.
Message choices
Recurring recommendations are optional. Choose a weekly roundup, timely suggestions at your chosen frequency (normally up to three recommendation messages per week), or replies only when you ask. Requested event updates and conversation replies may add messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See SMS Terms.
Access, correction and deletion
Email amar.bakshi@gmail.com to request access, correction, deletion, or a change to your preferences. We may verify that you control the relevant number or email before acting. STOP ends texting; you can also email us to request data deletion. We retain a limited suppression and consent record when needed to honor opt-outs and document messaging permissions.
Retention and security
We keep active profile and conversation data as needed to provide Ferris. Our retention process removes inactive profiles and history after approximately 12 months without interaction. Opt-out or deletion processing removes profile details and conversation history from the active service, except limited opt-out confirmations and compliance records. Encrypted rolling backups and provider records may persist until their normal rotation or applicable retention period ends. Email us for a specific deletion request.
Access is restricted to authorized operators. Our production data store uses encrypted snapshots, and provider connections use HTTPS. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.
Website storage and the demo
The interactive simulator uses browser storage to keep its fictional conversation state. It does not enroll you in SMS or send real texts. Restarting the demo clears its simulated state. Hosting or security providers may use storage needed to operate their services. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party targeted advertising.
Adults only
Ferris is intended for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.
Changes and contact
We post changes here with a revised effective date. Where notice or renewed consent is required, we will provide it through an appropriate channel, without texting an opted-out number. Contact IRADA, LLC at amar.bakshi@gmail.com for privacy questions.
