Ferris is your neighborhood guide by text, operated by IRADA, LLC. Get local recommendations, ask questions, follow event updates, and choose whether you want recurring suggestions.

SMS enrollment is not open yet. We are setting up our dedicated texting number. It will appear here when ready. You can try the demo or email us in the meantime; neither enrolls you in SMS.

Before you text

By sending the displayed signup keyword to the designated Ferris number after reading these disclosures, you ask Ferris to start an SMS signup conversation. You can choose recurring automated and personal local recommendation messages during that conversation, or choose replies only when you ask. Message frequency varies: a weekly roundup or normally up to three recommendation messages per week at your chosen pace, plus replies and requested event updates. Message and data rates may apply. Your choice, at every step

  1. Read the signup disclosures, then send the keyword shown on this page or an official Ferris campaign.
  2. Tell Ferris your first name, interests, and neighborhood context. A campaign code may supply local context, such as a building or neighborhood.
  3. Actively choose whether you want recurring suggestions and how often. Asking a question, scanning a code, or receiving an invitation does not by itself authorize recurring messages.
  4. Change your pace or reply STOP at any time. Contact details are not shared for introductions unless both people agree separately.

QR codes and invitations

Official Ferris campaigns may use building- or neighborhood-specific keywords. A QR code can open these instructions or prepare a message; you still choose whether to send it. Campaign materials must identify Ferris and include message frequency, rates, STOP/HELP instructions, and links to our privacy policy and SMS terms. We do not text a friend just because you provide their number; the friend must opt in themselves.
