Terms of Service & SMS Terms
Effective October 16, 2026
These terms cover Ferris, a neighborhood discovery and connection service operated by IRADA, LLC. Contact: amar.bakshi@gmail.com. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
Ferris SMS program terms
- Program and sender: Ferris, operated by IRADA, LLC. Messages include personalized local event recommendations, requested event updates, replies and support, and optional neighbor activities or introductions.
- Enrollment: use the instructions on our SMS signup page or an official Ferris QR campaign. Read the disclosures, then send the keyword shown to Ferris’s designated number. Sending a question permits replies to that question, not automatic enrollment in recurring recommendations. Recurring messages require your affirmative choice during signup. A friend’s invitation, a QR scan, a website visit, or an email inquiry alone does not enroll you.
- Frequency: message frequency varies. You can choose a weekly roundup, timely recommendations at your chosen frequency (normally up to three recommendation messages per week), or only when you ask. Replies and event updates you request may add messages. Change your preferences at any time.
- Costs: Ferris currently charges no SMS subscription fee. Message and data rates may apply under your carrier plan. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
- Stop: reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Standard stop keywords, including STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT, and REVOKE are also supported. You may receive one final confirmation; no further program messages will be sent unless you opt in again. Reply START to begin re-enrollment.
- Help: reply HELP or email amar.bakshi@gmail.com. If you lose access to your number or change it, contact us to end the old subscription.
- Delivery: mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery and availability depend on your carrier and network.
- Privacy: mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent are not sold, rented, or transferred. See our Privacy Policy for service-provider processing and your choices.
Eligibility and voluntary participation
You must be 18 or older and authorized to use the number you provide. You can browse the site, use the simulator, and email us without consenting to recurring SMS. Introductory conversations may be handled by automated systems, human operators, or both. Do not use Ferris for emergency assistance.
Local information and recommendations
Events, prices, opening times, accessibility, and availability can change. AI-assisted answers can contain mistakes. Confirm important details directly with the organizer. Ferris does not organize, endorse, or guarantee every event it suggests.
Introductions, activities and lending
Each introduction requires both people’s permission before contact details are shared. Participation is optional. We do not perform background checks, supervise meetups, or guarantee participants’ conduct. Use good judgment when meeting people or lending property.
Acceptable use
Do not use Ferris for unlawful activity, harassment, spam, impersonation, fraud, or collecting other people’s information without permission. We may restrict or terminate misuse.
Availability and responsibility
The service is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted operation or complete accuracy. To the extent permitted by applicable law, IRADA, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of Ferris or third-party events. These terms do not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Updates and contact
We may change or discontinue the service and update these terms. We will post updates here and provide additional notice or obtain renewed consent when required. Delaware law governs except where mandatory applicable law provides otherwise. Questions: amar.bakshi@gmail.com.
